Borgholm's municipality strives to create a pedagogic organization that complies with the overall vision of development and learning for children and young people throughout the total educational system. Influence, participation, diversity and freedom of choice are serving as a guideline and each unit has the possibility to develop its own profile for the activities. The compulsory education in Borgholm's municipality comprises of pre-school classes and school classes 1-9. The schools in the municipality are of different sizes with varying possibilities, which is reflected in the activities. The schools in the municipality are:
